I created this list of 25 Bible verses about God’s faithfulness because I know sometimes we all need a little encouragement.
Today marks 25 years since I decided to make Jesus lord of my life, and this is a great reminder that I didn’t get here on my own strength. If you need some encouragement or inspiration to keep going, this is for you.
After all, let’s face it… life is not a bed of roses.
While it’s tempting to think that following Christ will make life easier, the truth is, real life doesn’t play out that way. In fact, Jesus tells us quite the opposite.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
After warning the disciples that there would be trouble He went on to tell them, ‘take heart’. Jesus wanted to prepare us for the struggles that would come our way. But He didn’t want to leave us without hope. And that is the purpose of this post – to encourage you to take heart by pointing you to these Bible verses about God’s faithfulness.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of encouraging Bible verses, but they are certainly some of my favorites. If you have some favorites of your own, I’d love for you to share them in the comments.
25 Inspiring Bible Verses about God’s Faithful Love
In these Bible verses you’ll see God’s faithfulness displayed through His love, protection, provision, purpose and peace. I pray they encourage you.
God’s faithful love
1 John 4:9-10 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Ephesians 2:4-5 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.
1 Corinthians 2:9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him.
Romans 5:5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God’s faithful protection
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You make your saving help my shield,
and your right hand sustains me;
your help has made me great.
You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way.
Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
God’s faithful provision
Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 37:25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
Matthew 6:31-33 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
God’s faithful purpose
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Acts 17:26-27 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

I have seen God’s protection from traps the enemy has laid for me, and I have seen God take direct attacks on me and use them for my good. It has been encouraging to see God’s protection from disasters that I did not see coming! My favorite verse about God’s faithfulness may be Ephesians 3:20, but I would have to say it probably depends on the situation, which is why it is good to know God’s Word. I enjoyed reading this article; it is so beautifully written and it is my pleasure to pin it so that I can come back to it again and again. Thank you for sharing. 🤗💕🌸
MarvaSmith says
Thanks for sharing that, Robyn. I’m in awe of how God has taken care of me over all these years too — especially from dangers I’ve probably never seen.
Eph 3:20 is one of my verses for this year because it reminds me that God can do MORE than all I ask or imagine. And my word for the year is MORE.
